Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Sibiu through the idyllic countryside of the Transylvanian Highlands, arriving at the charming UNESCO-listed village of Biertan. Here, we’ll take a short stop to explore its fascinating story before heading to the imposing fortified church, one of Transylvania’s best-preserved Saxon landmarks.

Next, we set off on a mindful hike through the rolling hills of Biertan, following the renowned Via Transilvanica trail. This slow-paced journey allows us to fully embrace the beauty of nature while engaging in mindfulness practices such as:

In the afternoon, we head to Alma Vii, a colorful Saxon village nestled in the heart of the Transylvanian Highlands. Here, we’ll visit the beautifully restored fortified church, an architectural treasure that has recently been recognized with the 2024 Europa Nostra Prize for its exceptional restoration, supported by grants from the USA, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland.
🌅 Sunset & Local Treats: As a special moment, we’ll take a short walk to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the village, where we’ll enjoy:
