Did you know that South Transylvania was known as the “Wine Land”?
The story of the wine goes back in time when Saxons used to have lots of vineyards in these areas. The hills around Sibiu, Sighisoara and Alba Iulia were coverd with vineyards and wineries.
The white grapes were known here as the land and climate are perfect for them. Our region was famous for its Feteasca Regala, Feteasca Alba, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Reiesling, Traminer Aromatico…
We invite you to a great day tour to discover the history of Transylvania and, of course, of the white wine!
