Astonishing countryside, breathtaking mountain views, wonderful gorges, a unique bear sactuary, a famous castle… An unforgettable day trip in the Brasov county:)

Option 1

Sibiu – the Bear Sanctuary (Zarnesti) – trekking in gorges Zarnesti – trekking in the area of the villages Magura/ Pestera – Sibiu

Option 2

Sibiu – Bran Castle – trekking in the area of the villages Magura/ Pestera – Sibiu

Each of these options are great. We shall visit the biggest bear sactuary in Europe (LiBEARty Sanctuary) and learn so many interesting things about this project. It has helped to create better awareness of the issues affecting bears in Romania and it has given new life to once-captive bears. Libearty Sanctuary is a symbol of optimism for the protection of Romania’s rich natural environment.
The Bran Castle is another interesting place to visit. It is one of the oldest medieval constructions in Europe, a symbol of Transylvania. We’ll learn about the Teutonic knights, stories about Vlad the Impeller and also about the famous Queen of Romania, Queen Mary.

Zarnesti Gorges, Brasov

The gorges in Zarnesti are astonishing and so are the villages of Magura and Pestera. We’ll enjoy a relaxing hike, while admiring the nature. It’s going to be a great day!

*We can combine these tours in a 2 days-trip. We can visit further the villages of Fundata and Fundatica. It is the perfect way to combine culture, nature and relaxing trekking.
